North Star Critical Care is here to provide the very best in emergency care on the scene of the emergency and when it may be necesaary coordinate response to the scene of an emergency with LifeFlight, STATMedEvac or other medical helicopter services.
In addition North Star Critical Care operates a Mobile Intensive Care Unit staffed and equipped to provide continuity of care for inter-facility transports of critical but stable patients. And, for those instances where time between hospitals is not the deciding factor in the transport of a critical patient or, when weather or mechanical conditions prevent air transport or, when there are weight restrictions involved that prevent air transport our ground based MICU is available. These options are not provided by other area ambulance and EMS services.
